Is it any possible way to remove “?” sign from the url on jetpack cdn?
I would like to remove this ‘?’ sign from this url http://i0.wp.com/solvecite.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/client.jpg?resize=200%2C125
as when i am testing my site with gtmetrix its showing error in optimizing such images. Please suggest something as the load time is very much because of such url’s.
@freakmeout The parameters are used to load a different, smaller image from WordPress.com servers. If you were to remove the parameters, the image would be much larger.
If you want to test load times on your site when Photon is disabled, you can disable the module by following the instructions here:

We ran into a similar issue recently.
The 1st link refers to filename 2013-Lexus-GS-350-front-side-view-623×389.jpeg
The 2nd link refers to filename 2013-Lexus-GS-350-front-side-view.jpeg
Photon should see those as two separate images.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that this is true. If you look on line 262 of class.photon.php you’ll see that it’s striping the size information from the image unless it looks like a custom cropped image. This means that if you upload an image named something like my-image-500×500.jpg, Photon will think this is a WP-resized image and will actually pass my-image.jpg in the URL it generates. Unfortunately, in this case that image doesn’t exist. In reality, the resized images will look more like my-image-500×500-300×300.jpg.
That makes sense! Thanks for the detailed report.
I created #1766-plugins, and we’ll work on getting this fixed in a future Jetpack release.
I’ll post again here as soon as I have some news.
I’m having the same issue, but with GIFs.
I have just disabled Photon and now is working…
When I enable Photon, some posts no longer display thumbnails and some images report “We cannot complete this request, remote data could not be fetched”
I have had to disable photon or I could demonstrate the problem but the site is production.
@vk2hmc Could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?

If you can’t enable Photon for too long, I would suggest the following:
- Enable Photon.
- Copy the URL of one of the broken images.
- Disable Photon.
- Send us a link to the post where the image appears, as well as the link to the broken image.
Thank you!
@vk2hmc Could you please post these URLs in a new thread?

Thanks!
Got a problem when a filename was “somename-200×300.jpg”. It got renamed on the SDN as “somename.jpg” and gave the “We cannot complete this request, remote data was invalid” error. Uploading the image without the “-200×300” solved the problem. So it seems that the renaming has some bugs.
