Photo/image/picture gallery that works with tags?

I am looking for a plugin in of an image gallery that works with tags. I would like to create a post and add media and then to attach the image to an existing tag. Or to “add new media” through sidebar on admin panel and then to attach that to an existing tag.
Then if it’s possible in the plugin options, I would like to show a “picture of the day” on my home page.

Are you using something similar? Do u know what I can do?
