Support » Plugin: Fullscreen Galleria » Photobox

Hi, firstly I’d like to say thanks for a great plugin.

I have a question about getting the photobox option to show a whole page of photos without any blank spaces.

I am using the shortcode [fsg_photobox tile=”98″] which sometimes almost displays perfectly, but other times, I have big black borders around some images and gaps where you could fit other images.

Do you have a recommendation for the ideal picture sizes to use and what sizes should be set in WP media settings for the optimal display.

On a separate note, on mobile devices (only tested on Nexus 7 and Android smartphone) when using the standard fullscreen galleria, the screen is unresponsive when trying to click on a thumbnail or close the overlay etc. I have found that you need to scroll to the top of the underlying page for these to work. Is there any way that the page can be scrolled to the top on clicking an image in the gallery before the fullscreen galleria is displayed. I believe this will solve the problem.

  • Worked out the first bit, it was the theme – tried it on Twenty Ten and it worked fine!

Mobile device still an issue though….

Mobile support in underlying is getting better, so hopefully in next update…

It actually works pretty well on the mobile devices, but when using the standard gallery (not photobox), if the gallery is part way down the page and you click on an image to open it in fullscreen galleria, the controls will not respond until you scroll the underlying page to the top. The controls still work.

So I was wondering if there was a way to force the page to scroll to the top before displaying the fullscreen galleria. I guess this could be done in javascript.

As a follow up to the original photobx issue. If anyone else is having the same issue, check your theme and see what it is doing with images. My theme was stripping out the img height and width attributes that are automatically inserted by WP along with a max-width css style.
