On the Photo Albums -> Settings admin page, set Table VI-A1 to no link at all.
On th Photo Albums -> Photo of the day settings page, set item 11 to change every
and set item 11a to day.

I want to create two different photo of the day widgets.
Each featuring a different album….is that possible?
No, that is not possible. It can not be two days at the same time.
There are a lot of other widgets, like the slideshow widget (Sidebar Slideshow), or the most recently uploaded photo (Last Ten Photos) that yuo can try.
