  • Hello. I am using the header from Kubrik, I’ve only changed the color and height. I would like to have a photo on the far right, as part of the header, so that the band of color goes from the left margin ending on this photo, then the photo is on the right margin. That make sense?

I don’t know how to do it. I’ve got the photo in the header but it is appearing above the band of color. Any help is greatly appreciated – thank yuou!

  • There are several hundreds of threads regarding the kubrick header…
There is also a Codex article: Designing_Headers

Can you tell me this much – when a reference is made to “header image” is that the band of color they are referring to? My header.php file, now that I look at the kubrik one, is a bit thinner. I modified it using while reading “dissection of a word press theme” on urbangiraffe.com.

to change the header graphic on any wordpress blog

just go into your ftp and locate the theme folder and find the image download it and check out its size in adobe then create an exact size image the way you want to look and upload in its place

shiner25: that does NOT always work with the “default” theme header. Kubrick is a whole other piece of work, and many times it takes every bit of info in the codex to tweak it.

The correct link is codex 😉

When did that change? All I’m doing is (two square brackets)codex(two square brackets) – is that not right any more?

Never was in that way 🙂
    it should be [ [ Main_Page | codex ] ] without the spaces

?? Not what whoever posted to the list back when (matt, maybe?)…. just said “enclose the word codex in double brackets” or some such. I might even still have the email around (oh. Nope, changed email clients to t-bird, and it didn’t import about 2/3 of my old stuff *sigh*) Oh well, I’ll try to remember from now on.

[But the single word “codex” is INFINITELY simpler….]

yes it does work with kubrix ive done it.. so smell my feet :0
