Photo Gallery plugin

Hey all.

I am new here and I am liking how much I can do with my WordPress site.

What I am looking for now is a Photo Gallery update that can do the following:
– I want it to have like a “LATEST PICTURES” thing I could add to my main page of my website like.. with the 4 latest pictures.
– Something that is not only admin-based but that users can upload content too, and add comments, etc.

That is pretty much what I am looking for and I cannot find it around here..
Plus, its always good if it looks nice.

And, off-topic, I was also wondering how do you put a login menu, without having to click log-in on the page?

Hi all.

I have found a plugin doing exactly what I wanted, although it is not exactly very esthetic but you can see it here:

However, I cannot figure out how to change the size of those thumbnails, as I feel they are much too big!

And.. I still havent found an in-page login form..

Your best bet for that is to have a separate gallery app that you can plug into your blog. Something like http://www.zenphoto.org/ or http://coppermine-gallery.net/ can both do that.

Regarding your off topic about the login menu, you can do a sidebar login: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/sidebar-login

I do it with a bit of PHP magic like from here: http://www.wpdesigner.com/2007/07/09/how-to-place-a-login-form-in-the-sidebar/ You may need to put in a plugin to have PHP widgets if you go that way though.

Thanks I really like how zenphoto looks!
Sounds great but after a few tries.. I cannot find out how I can have it in my wordpress. I checked the forums and there are tons of posts but are all so complicated..

I got.. “zenphotopress” but its only on my side. I want to have it plugged on a page.

Til now I was using nextGen and i could put [nggallery id=#] and it would pop up but nothing like that for this.

To insert a gallery in a post use the [zenphotopress] shortcode. For more options, see shortcode_howto.txt in the ZenphotoPress installation directory.

I got as far as putting my

in the plugin settings but then I cannot figure out how to put it on a page

and how to get users to upload directly to that

If you can’t find the directions on http://www.zenphoto.org then go to their forums: http://www.zenphoto.org/support

There are directions on how to integrate on the zenphoto pages.
