 * Hello there,
 * Ok around a week ago I linked a potential employer to my portfolio site, he notified
   me that google chrome brought up a Phishing Site warning. This has never happened
   before, I have always had security on my Site in the form of the “Bullet Proof
   security” plugin.
 * I have sent a verification request off to Google however my site still shows
   the issue, they have not contacted me regarding this via email and Googles Webmaster
   tools shows no security issues. I have scanned using Sucuri’s website scanner
   which also shows no issues. There is one Pop up on my site which is a direct
   to my Hosting site since I use free hosting. Could this redirect to purchase
   hosting maybe be the issue here?
 * I upload any new files using filezilla, I have changed passwords for that, my
   admin and my Host site. I cannot seem to find any suspicious files however do
   not really know enough to look for any redirects since I would have no idea where
   to start. As mentioned this is only a basic 5 page portfolio site with some video
   plug ins which embed Youtube videos and that is pretty much it. There are no
   log in forms other than the Admin log in, and there is a simple comment box,
   my site looks the exact same all the links direct to where they are supposed
   to. I have no Ecommerce to speak of so do not understand why Google Would flag
   it.
 * If anyone with security knowledge could point me in the right direction to getting
   this sorted I would be super appreciative. I am not really willing to pay for
   a professional clean up as my site traffic is only minimal since it is only a
   portfolio site for animation work.
 * The URL is: [http://www.animationadventures.co.uk](http://www.animationadventures.co.uk)
 * It seems the issue only happens in Google Chrome, firefox and Internet explorer
   bring up no such error.
 * Any advice and responses are greatly welcomed. I would really love to be able
   to get the giant red phishing page removed from my site as quick as possible
   as it is ruining any potential opportunities.

 * When I go to your site I see this unexpected Hosting company promotion.
    You
   doing this purposely? Pic: [http://goo.gl/m4HihG](http://goo.gl/m4HihG)
 * And likewise, I see that the bitdefender website is marking you as a phishing
   site.
    I would go to them and work to clear your reputation with them to start:

 * There’s probably a phishing page/directory buried within your site files. They
   are very tricky to detect.
 * Usually if I’m looking for a phishing page I will search for terms like this
   within site files (using grep):
 * -paypal
    -wellsfargo -googledocs -yahoo -bank -expiration date -security code
 * It’s hard to know what to search for, though, when you don’t know what the phishing
   page is even supposed to look like! And to make matters more difficult Google
   Webmaster Tools doesn’t flag the URL’s of phishing pages so it’s hard to know
   where to even start.
 * Since Bitdefender is clearly aware of the threat I might suggest you send them
   an e-mail as Hack Repair Guy suggested and perhaps they might give you a hint
   as to where to look.

 * @ the hack repair guy, I use free hosting so I assume that is on there end to
   try get revenue. However I do not have this come up deliberately.
 * Also I contacted my host provider at first they said they could do nothing, I
   came in these forums to try sort the issue. However when I contacted them again
   they said the Google warning is now removed which it now is. It is however still
   flagged up on Bitdefender, so I shall contact them and attempt to get that sorted.
   I assume it could very well be that ad that is causing issues since it does direct
   straight to their buying options pages.

 * And also thank you for the hints rngdmstr I shall take a browse later on through
   my server files see if I can find anything, hopefully bitdefenders team can direct
   me, thank you for the advice and help!
