Phantom comments? (5 posts)

On my recent comments, there is one listed which links to a porn site. By hovering over the link, I can see which comment number it is in my datbase, but when I log into the WP-admin dashboard, it's not listed under the comments. I tried plugging in the address for deleting a comment & just changing the numbers to match the post/comment, but WP won't allow me to do that b/c of the lack of a referrer.

    Two part question from this...
    1) Without it showing up on the admin dashboard, how am I supposed to delete it? I was thinking I could temporarily disable the requirement for referrers, delete the comment manually, & then turn that back on.....but in searching, I can't find how to disable the referrer requirement.
    2) I'm assuming this spammer put HTML code into the comment box that somehow masked it from WP & keeps it from showing up on my admin page. Does anyone know how they did that? If I know what kind of code they used, I figure I can just include those words in the blacklist to prevent it in the future.

Blog is at http://www.heyhermano.com if you need to see the phantom comment (from "Gabriele Matyka").

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you can provide!

Have you gone to Manage > Comments to delete the comment?

    Manage > Awaiting Moderation ?

    Install Spam-Karma2 ?

Yes, "Manage > Comments" & "Manage > Awaiting Moderation" don't have it listed. From the "Manage > Comments" page, I attempted to copy the URL for deleting a comment & then modify it with the correct post/comment #, but ran into that referrer problem.

Would Spam-Karma2 fix the problem after the fact?

You might need to get this one through the database itself....
