Phantom 404 Errors (5 posts)

Ever since around August 20th, i've started to see a huge amount of seemingly random 404 errors creep into my site's error count in Google Webmaster Tools. It says that they originate from articles that have been posted, but I can't verify this in any way (physically looking at source code, nor "fetching" via Google).

Here are a sampling of some example URLs:

To me, they look like UNIX time strings... but I can't for the life of me figure out where they are coming from.

Has anyone run into this issue?

From the indexed pages by Google, I understand that the links referred to by you might have been temporarily created by some plugins, theme or other codes while you were setting them up and picked up by Google, or sent to Google.

However, as I don't find them, you may just submit a new sitemap and look for the next report by Google. The nonexistent duplicates may go away.

    Please read this:

It contains the solution (that is you don't have to do anything according to Google).
