Personal Fundraiser, Shared SSL and Authorize.net

  • Hi John,

Thank you for this plugin. I believe it will work beautifully for us if I can resolve one issue.

I am trying to process transactions through Authorize.net AIM with a shared SSL certificate. When I submit the donation form, I see a message ‘Processing’, then a red error box that says ‘You are not permitted to perform this action.’

I have not been able to locate the code where the ‘Processing’ message is generated, nor have I been able to determine the actual error. I have tried echoing payment transaction values in functions.php, but no values are displayed.

(1)Does the plugin work with shared SSL? If not, could you tell me which part of the code I could modify to make it work?

(2)If it is not an SSL problem, what would be the best way to identify the cause of the problem?

    Thank you,
    Patricia

The You are not permitted to perform this action error message is displayed when the payment form does not have the security values necessary to validate that it was a proper form submission vs someone running a bot trying to hack a form submission. I am not sure what would cause this unless you are somehow creating the form by hand.
