• I LOVE the idea of this plugin, however i am having a difficult time figuring it all out…

How do I get people to register, there is not a link for the Fundraiser just the normal login for my site?

How do I get the users images to show up? I have tried everything and it just wont load the images on the page.

Basically, how do I get it to function like clean water? Obviousy I would never copy them, but thats how I need mine to operate.

If you can help me, I will donate a huge contribution from The Fundraiser Pros and give you a big shout out on the website!!! 🙂

BTW: thank you so much for creating such a useful, do good, plugin!

If you want to show all of the campaigns on one page you can see them at /give (assuming you are using the default value for the campaign slug; otherwise the campaign list is available at /slug where “slug” is the name of your campaign slug. You also can use the shortcode [pfund-campaign-list] in a post to display the campaigns there.

hi john would you please help me on that i`m displaying the foundraisers list names on a page, is there any possiblitie to display their avatar too?
if you could help on that a good donation will go to your cause and will def shout your name to the world.

    🙂

There is a shortcode expressly for the purpose of displaying those who contribute to a campaign:

[pfund-giver-list] Displays a list of supporters for the current campaign. The supported attributes are:

    • max_givers Maximum number of supporters to display. If this attribute is specified and the number of supporters exceeds this value, a set of randomized supporters will be returned.
    • row_max Number of supporters to display in one row. This attribute is simply used to add a css class to the last supporter in a row. The class is specified by the row_end_class attribute.
    • row_end_class Class to apply to last support in a row. This class is applied to the last supporter in a row.

Add the shortcode to your cause to see it displayed in the corresponding campaigns (eg. [pfund-giver-list max_givers=”3″] ).

Thank you very much +++ for this very good plugin, I will use it to create a team (cause) with members (campaigns), like on crowdrise.

    1) You wrote “If you want to show all of the campaigns on one page you can see them at /give” Unfortunately this doesn’t seems to work for me.

    /wordpress/give/ doesn’t work
    /wordpress/causes/ doesn’t work

I changed nothing to your plugin configuration. Any idea what’s wrong ?

    2) The problem in 1) seems to affect user registration. When a user tries to register, instead o being send to his page “/wordpress/give/XXX/” he gets a 404

Besides the error above, access with “/wordpress/?pfund_campaign=jbn-2” works fine. How is it possible to get /give working. Any idea what’s wrong ?

    3) I would like to display the total sum of every compaign on the main cause page, is it possible?

Would it be also possible to display the donators form all compaigns on the same page. Finally would it be possible to set a goal for the main cause, with a progress bar.

If you can get this working you I promise you to contribute to your cause too. Kind regards,

The Personal Fundraiser plugin was intended to be used with WordPress sites that use Pretty Permalinks (also see setup here. It looks like your site does not use them currently.

As far as #3 is concerned, right now the plugin doesn’t support this.

I have a similar problem (on a fresh WP install with pretty permalinks):

When entering a URL slug for a new campaign a tooltip says “Please wait while we validate this location”. Nothing happens. Debugger says it’s an Ajax 404.

    Test here: http://photoblog.helge.at/causes/dein-geburtstag-fur-laafi/

PS: Great great plugin. Was thinking about doing exactly that when I saw that you had already. Our NGO finances hospitals in Burkina Faso.

I took a look at your site and it looks like there actually is a JavaScript error caused by an incompatibility between the plugin and jQuery UI version 1.9.2 which is included in the latest version of WordPress (3.5). I have not tested the plugin against 3.5, but it does appear that there is at least one incompatibility here. Hopefully in 2013 I will release a new version of the plugin that is compatible with WordPress 3.5.

I am getting the same error. Does that mean there is no immediate fix? Just downloaded the plugin and was hoping to get our new site up and running by the New Year for a race campaign. Please advise if you have any additional ideas or updates. Thanks.

Hi John, thanks for looking into this! Do you know already when the next plugin version is due? Cheers, Helge

WOW! GREAT Reviews of your Plugin John. I LOVE the ideas that I’m hearing, and all of the great support you give, and the offers from users to donate to your campaign. I need to create a site some-what like Kickstarter, without having to buy that expensive script I hear that totally crashes on everyone who buys it.Or JUST LIKE…GoFundMe.com…..I have used it, oit easy to use, simple functions, it works with no errors, and it looks like it’s on the WP Platform to me…Not sure, but it looks that way. Your plugin seems to do much of what GoFundMe.com’s script or plugin does, except All ow user to upload a video and photos, post a TOTAL Goal, Toal raised, offer rewards or a plugin that work with yours to allow this, and for visitors to create a campaign….get a profile/campaign page that displays everything about their campaign, and have multiplae new users to sign up for campaigns, all run on MY WEBSITE (Fundraiser/Causes)and are we allowed to get a FEE for allowing them a campaign page on our site, and HOW do we set this up…We Use PayPal, and would like to get our 3-5% when the donation is accepted by paypal (Our percent is automatically added to our PayPal Account, then the users paypal account donation is deposited into their paypal account. Is This Possible? We need new users/campaigns to be able to add their paypal info to be paid, AFTER we charge our Fee for campain access. Thanks In Advance. I would love to Donate to your plugins Upgradabil;ity for the updates that I and others have asked for. Please take a look at goGundMe.com if you’re not familiar with them. I want to use your Pluging to do that John. Blessings. We are using the Danko WP theme on another website we have for our Outreach Ministry (www.thelifesupportnetwork.org) I’d like to set up a Causes/kickstarter type website with your plug-in. Blessings…Pastor G.
