 * I was told by someone at Movable Type of a certain feature (called “Search Results”)
   allows your blog page to show continuously running search results of keywords
   you select. This awareness supposedly allows you to stay on top of what you’re
   interested in without actively searching for the information.
 * However, I’ve been unable to verify this feature — the closest thing I can find
   is a website that appears to have a sidebar with persistent searching functionality(
   see [http://www.bradchoate.com/weblog/2004/09/08/mt31](http://www.bradchoate.com/weblog/2004/09/08/mt31),
   and look under the “Sideblog” section).
 * Is this a real feature? And if so, can I do the same thing with WordPress?

 * That’s pretty cool, but the idea I had was something more like pubsub or google
   alerts, where it continually searches and shows the results. With the Live Search
   feature, you have to type in a search — it doesn’t save the search when you leave
   the page.

 * a [widget](http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/WordPress_Widgets)?
 * edit: i’m looking at brad choate’s sideblog. seems like he’s just pulling from
   his digg rss. you’ll need to find a better example.
 * edit2:you can probably use a [feed aggregator plugin](http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Syndication).
   then pull in the [search results feed](http://news.google.com/intl/en_us/news_feed_terms.html)
   from google.
