Support » Plugin: Order Delivery Date for WooCommerce » Persian ِCalendar Problems

  • Resolved Yashar

    Hello there
Thanks for this awesome plugin. I just tested the lite version before purchasing pro.
Unfortunately there are some bugs with Persian calendar.
It shows completely different date. I think the problem is related to converting the calendar.
Today is 18 November 2017 which is the 11th month, it shows 20 Bahman 2017.
Bahman is the 11th month in Persian calendar but the correct date for today is 27 Aban 1396 (Aban is the 8th month in Persian calendar and Years also need to be converted too).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Yashar,

We are checking this issue and we will get back to you with an update on this.

    Hi Moxa
Is there any update on this issue? Have you able to find a solution?

    Hi Yashar,

I have tried to replicate the issue on our staging site where I have selected 18 December, 2017 and the language set is Persian in Appearance tab.

The date is translated well in the Persian language on the order received page, email, order listing page. I have checked even by translating the date via the Google Translate.

I am attaching the screenshot for your reference: ,

Can you please explain me in detail about the issue with screenshots and examples which you are facing on your site as I am unclear about it? And the selected delivery date is converted fine to the Persian language on our staging site.

    Dear Komal
The plugin is just translating the calendar but it needs to be converted.
    For example:
Today is Monday, 25, December 2017 and in Persian calendar its Monday, 4, دی (Dey), 1397 but the plugin shows: 25, اسفند, 2017 (Esfand)
“Esfand” is 12th month in Persian calendar, “Dey” is 10th month in Persian calendar. So the plugin should convert the year (2017 to 1397) and Month (December) to (دی) and so the day needs to be converted (25 to 4).

For converting Gregorian calendar to Jalali (Persian) calendar, see the link below:

    Hi Yashar,

I apologize for the delay in response. I have missed your reply.

In our plugin, we are just translating the language of the calendar to the set language under the Appearance tab and we are not converting the dates to the mentioned language dates.

    Komal Maru

Thank you @komal-maru for your reply. I do understand the situation.
If I succeeded in converting the calendar or make it compatible with some other Persian calendar plugins, I’ll inform you

    Hi Yashar,

Yes, please let us know once you succeed to convert the calendar to the Persian calendar. We will check and try to include it in our core plugin.
