Hi Richard - I believe ABASE is the perfect plugin for a new website I started building.
My question; does ABASE supports limiting database edition based on user roles / permissions? According to the documentation, the answer is 'no', right?
My use case: it's a for a crowdsourced database project. I need db tables to be viewable by all, but editable only by chosen members (to avoid spam).
I think I already have a solution, but I wanted your advice first :-) My solution would be to put the ABASE forms to edit the database on pages that are themselves (the pages) accessible only to specific roles (e.g. logged in users). Several plugins can help me do that (such as the plugin simply named 'Members'). I don't see why this would not work.
Thanks for any feedback Richard! I should dive into actually using ABASE in the coming weeks. Cheers! -- Alex
