Permissions error and valid header error on latest plugin install

    I installed the plugin and got two errors previously noted in the forum:
    – You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page
    – The plugin does not have a valid header.

    I could activate the plugin after exiting and logging back into WordPress admin, but have no idea if the plugin is actually doing its job.

    Any progress on either rectifying the error or suggesting problem sources outside the plugin?

    For context, I am running VPS on DigitalOcean – Ubuntu/Nginx/PHP OPcache enabled/Redis/FastCGI.
