    Hello All!

    I change the permalinks from the default to include the postname for SEO, but when I do it breaks all page links. I am guessing this is permission related and wanted to know the correct procedure. Permalink plugins have the same issue. Thanks!

    You posted this in “localhost installs” so I assume you’re running your own server. If it’s an apache server, the default is to ignore .htaccess. Edit the hosting config for your site and add

    <Directory /path/to/wordpress>
       Allow Override All
    </Directory>

    and then restart apache.

    Thanks Steve! Yes home server, I at least know the culprit, it is an NGINX server would you know the equivilent?
