I have nextgen installed. When a client is uploading pictures to an gallery, the pictures are not visible, even the thumbnails ar not visible.
It all seems to do with permissions.

I asked my hoster. He react with this:

resetting the permissions of the file directory to the default 755/644 arraignment is what fixes it, but we are not sure what file being set improperly is causing this issue.

Than he gave an local command to resset. And this is the output of the command:

    [*] Correcting home directory…DONE
    [*] Correcting tmp permissions…DONE
    [*] Correcting directory permissions…DONE
    [*] Correcting file permissions…DONE
    [*] Correcting executable permissions…DONE
    [*] Correcting permissions on .htpasswds…DONE
    [*] Correcting addon domains…DONE
    [*] Correcting mail directory…DONE
    [*] Fixing valiases…DONE

Please can you tell me what is going wrong with uploading new pictures?

    thanks in advance….

@dicki – If you are finding it is a permissions issue (as noted) then that is a server environment problem. We do not specifically change permissions in NextGEN Gallery.

    Thanks!
