    Hi again,

I would like to give authors the right to create new tables but not to change existing ones and not the right to publish them…
…other words: I would like to use a permission set for tables corresponding to the way WP is handling blog posts etc.

What’s the permission set to do that? I’m using «User Role Editor»…

    Hi,

    thanks for your question!

Unfortunately, I have to disappoint you here 🙁 The permission system in TablePress is not that sophisticated at this time and doesn’t allow such fine-grained control.
In order to add new tables, the editing capability is necessary, and that allows editing of all tables. This could in theory be changed by custom coding, but unfortunately I don’t know a nice and easy way to do that 🙁
And about publishing tables: This does not really make sense for tables, as they are inserted into posts/pages via Shortcodes. Thus, publishing a table is the same as publishing a post/page (or editing an existing one). And TablePress can not control what content (like a Shortcode) is added to a post/page.

    Regards,
    Tobias
