• Hi. I’m trying to switch to Document Gallery after having a fatal glitch with our previous document plug-in, Memphis Document Library. And now since our documents were all originally uploaded with MDocs (to /wp-content/uploads/mdocs/FILENAME.pdf), I’m getting a 403 permissions error when accessing the files through Document Gallery. Do you know of any way to fix this short of downloading and re-uploading all the documents we’ve uploaded over the past two years? Thanks.

    Hi Rob,

The below is a quote from the Memphis Document Library page:

When you uninstall the documents library make sure you export all your important files. All data will be removed on completion of uninstall, this includes files, directories, posts, and media.

I believe you will need to re upload the files in order to get them to function with Document Gallery as it sounds like the files will have been removed. Also, the directory containing the files is likely not intended for direct access.

Re uploading shouldn’t be too painful using something like Add From Server.
