Permanently blocked IP's not blocked

    I just permanently blocked an IP that was trying to get access to our page with wrong user IDs.

    Now the blocked IP’s tab shows the IP as permanently blocked (no attempts have been made since the IP was blocked). The next tab “locked out from login” shows the IP was blocked but says it will be unblocked again after the specified time according to the options.

    In the live traffic pages though under “logins and logouts” I can still see the IP trying to get access to our site uninterrupted by the block.

    Am I missing something here or is the block simply not working as it should?

    please ignore the question. I misread block and lock, which are of course two different things. I had a conceptual misunderstanding of what the two are doing and saying. I think I figured it out now.
