    Hi friends,

I have migrated from Yoast to TSF and so far I am quite happy.

But I have a question regarding deleted pages. In Yooast it is possible to redirect deleted pages to a new page which is an important feature.

How could I achieve this with TSF?

    Thank you for your support.

    Best,

    Karsten

    Hi Karsten,

With TSF, you need to keep a copy of the old page to use redirection. This is because our redirection system is post-meta/term-meta based, and only invokes when a valid post/term that needs redirecting is requested. This is infinitely scalable and has no measurable performance impact.

On the other hand, I understand this can be quite debilitating. Luckily, you can run the Redirection plugin alongside TSF to redirect any request, even from deleted posts/pages/terms — at the expense of a slight performance penalty.
