You can acheive that by blocking the IP address in your .htaccess file.

Hi Jeff – can you tell all of us basic users just how we can do that? I’d love to be able to have this facility.
Where do we find the file you mention, and how do we alter it to block selected IPs for visiting our site please?
    Thank you

I agree with OP. While IPs can certainly be blocked via .htaccess, it would be great if we could simply add them to a blacklist within the plugin settings page.

Even better would be to block IPs in a blacklist WITHOUT notifying the hacker that they’ve been blocked. This way, they won’t be tempted to change IP addresses.

When you block an IP via .htaccess, the hacker knows you’ve blocked him … a drawback.

By the way, your plugin is excellent.

    +1 to OP.
+1 to vahost’s blocking an ip without notifying user

I agree. If someone keeps hammering on the site trying to login as admin, then after a while it should just be banned and require a manual change to lift it rather than having to always manually add it to .htaccess.
