I feel kind of stupid to ask for this feature which very probably exists already, but I can’t think of any search terms to find a solution…

I want incoming links which lead to the latest post or x number of posts (e.g. latest 3 posts) to be redirected to the front page of the blog, (if possible taken down to the specific post if it is not the latest) so they have an opportunity to scroll down for related posts or otherwise.

Does anybody have a solution for this idea?

I don’t think there is such an incoming link possibility. Can you give an example?

    “Can you give an example?”

When I post on my blog the post is then automatically listed on another site which contains summaries of posts from many similar blogs, with an excerpt and a link. So many people visit my blog through these links.

When such a link is clicked the visitor is taken to the post: http://myblog.com/?p=26

In stead I would like him to be redirected to the main page http://myblog.com/

So I envision some script which in it’s simplest form redirects visitors to the index page, when a request is made for the most recent post.. (The result for the visitor being the same: he is taken to the latest post. Only now he can scroll down to look at other recent posts.)

I hope this makes more sense now?

    gazeteler thi is good site
