 * Hopefully not too dumb of a question…or too dumb of an attempted change but…….
Two days ago I changed my custom permalink structure from /%postname%/ to /%postname%
Attempting to drop the ending /
The next day (yesterday) checking webmaster
tools I saw that only my home page was still being indexed, so I added permalinks
migration to my permalinks plugin and added the original /%postname%/ structure
as the “old structure” Yes in hindsight I should have known to do that right
away but I’m still very much a WP noob. Now today I’m still seeing just my home
page indexed in webmaster tools, but no crawl errors. I also have XML Sitemap
plugin and have checked my sitemap submission in webmaster tools and it does
show my pages without that last / Am I “allowed” to drop that last / from my
permalinks like that? I’ve seen it not appear in other’s WP sites. Do I just
need to be patient for google to re-index my pages? Thanks in advance.
