• Here’s what I’d like to do. I want the convenience of web-based blog editing for a collection of pages that I plan to update from time to time. I want the pages to have categories, and most importantly, I’d like to be able to create static html pages for mirroring on a different web site that doesn’t have PHP/MySQL support.

I’ve read various articles on the forums that suggest that there is no way to create static HTML pages in WordPress (whether they are Pages or Posts that are updated; since I want categories, I really would prefer Posts). Is this correct ? or is there some other way of achieving what I want ?

Ideally I’d have my posts maintained on my local web server via WordPress, and then from time to time I’d run a cron job that would transfer static versions of these pages to the remote web site that doesn’t have PHP support.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
