Permalinks problem

    Hello,
    I made a wordpress page then deleted it
    after making it again the link was mysite.com/index-2
    why after re-making a page it became -2?

    when you deleted the page it is still in thrash click on thrash delete permanently

    The old page is still sitting around in your trash and has claim on the “index” permalink. If you delete that page from your trash, your new page should be able to use the “index” permalink without the “-2” added to the end.
