Permalinks problem

  • Hi,

When I change the permalinks of my site to a custom structure I keep on getting the same problem. I enter the custom structure “http://www.devinelingerie.com/” and press save but when the screen refreshes the custom structure appears as “/http:/www.devinelingerie.com/”

It’s possible that I might have entered that structure ones by accident but I’ve tried putting in the correct one may times now and it keeps appearing wrong.

Is there a way that I can completely clear any record of custom structures I’ve entered before? Or does anyone have any suggestion on how I can fix this? Help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Revert to the default permalinks and WP will recreate your .htaccess file and repopulate the global $rewrite (that’s what holds your rewrite rules). Now try putting ‘/%postname%/’ in the custom box and see if that works.
