# Permalinks – /%postname%/%post_id%

 * /%postname%/%post_id% (no slash at the end)
 * okay?
 * I’ve been using this permalink structure for 1-2 years. Back then, when I decided
   on this structure, ([http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks](http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks))
   said that starting with %postname% was okay. Now, it says otherwise and, thus,
   I am worried.

   also says:
 * > If you want to list your site in Google News, one of the requirements is to
   > have at least three digit identifier at the end of every url.
   > This is easily accomplished using %postname%-%post_id% structure, which will
   > append post ID to the end of URL so it becomes [http://example.com/cooking-tips-tricks-344](http://example.com/cooking-tips-tricks-344).
 * %postname%-%post_id% is okay, right?
    %postname%/%post_id% – is this okay? (hopes)

 * As of April 14, 2011 – using /%postname%/%post_id% still causes performance problem.(
   sighs)
