# Permalinks keep adding on

 * Go to Menu: Click on [http://website.com/category/](http://website.com/category/)
 * Takes you to that page, but when you go back to menu you get
 * [http://website.com/category/category](http://website.com/category/category)
 * Each page I go to adds the permalink structure to the url links.
 * [http://website.com/category/link1](http://website.com/category/link1)
 * then [http://website.com/category/link1/link2](http://website.com/category/link1/link2)
 * it should be [http://website/category/link1](http://website/category/link1) not
   link1/link2
 * Whats the deal?

 * – Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting and renaming
   your WordPress .htaccess file.
 * – If that works (Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as
   server and/or browser caches before checking), then try reading [Using_Permalinks ](http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks)
   before setting a custom permalink structure again.
