Support » Plugin: Job Manager » Permalinks issue (I have done as much trouble-shooting as I can)

    WP Install: 4.1.1
    Job Manager Installed: 0.7.22
    Website URL http://tapsbus.com/jobs-3/

Issue: I have been dealing with what seems to be a permalinks issue.

Here is the issue in detail; the jobs listing page will not display when custom permalinks are selected, but will display when default permalinks are selected. The single job detail page and application page display without issue with custom permalinks.

I have followed the advice found here and the issue still persists even if I change the theme to one of the twenty-somethings, and/or disable all plugins except job manager. I have contacted my hosting company to see if there could be something wrong with my server and spent hours with them trouble shooting, but nothing worked.

Please let me know if there is anything you can do to help as our company would love to use this plugin in place of our current job management solution.

Usually permalink issues are caused by conflict with other plugin or themes.

The other thing you have to make sure of – you disable any CDN or Caching Features whether its a plugin or your hosting companies features, as they will also provide false indications. Then ensure you have cleared cache from your browsers.

    Other areas to check:
    – custom post types, as those sometime will cause issues?
    – .htaccess file

How are you invoking the GF into this ?

Email login info to wp-jobmanger.com and I can take a quick look.

    The GF? Gravity forms?

I am trying to replace gravity forms with your plugin, not integrating it into your plugin. If I can get your plugin to work on your site, I will stop using the current solution I have set up with gravity forms.

I will call and check with my hosting company to make sure all CDN/Caching features have been deactivated and flushed. We do not have any Caching plugins on our site.

    Ok here is an update;

I got with my host (Bluehost Optimized WordPress VPS) and all Caching/CDN features were disabled. and I had him revert back to a stock WordPress .htaccess file for testing. After clearing my browsers cache, the problem still persisted.

Ok after reading over this topic about Job Manager and WooCommerce https://wordpress.org/support/topic/permalinks-problem-70?replies=5

I decided to give it a try and deactivated WooCommerce, flushed the rewrite rules and my browsers cache and my job listing page displayed as normal.

Were you ever able to help the individual in that thread fix his issue, it seems I have the same issue. I have to have woocommerce on our site, but I would love to try and fix this issue too.

It’s known issue. JM is not the only plugin that has issues with WooCommerce-write rules.

We will look into this within the next few weeks to see if we might add a
Disable Flush Rewrites feature to see if that might correct it? However, I would need volunteer Beta Testers for this as I don’t currently run any sites with WooCommerce

I would be eager to help test it.
