Permalinks hassle…

    I need help with permalinks please!

    I want to change the permalinks to the custom structure “/%postname/” and when i save it, and click an old link it says “cannot display page”.

    Is there something I can do to update all the post & page links or do I have to un-install and re-install WordPress ?
