Permalinks broken in WordPress 3.7 upwards

  • Hello,

After updating my site to 3.7 and upwards, changing the permalink structure to anything other than default causes my library images to disappear, the images are replaced with a small red cross (bit like when you see a broken link in a browser)

I then carried out tests on a fresh instance of wordpress with no plugins installed and the problems are still apparent.

Basically rolling back to wordpress 3.6 fixes the error but upgrading to any version of wordpress after 3.6 causes problems again.

There is def some issue with the wordpress core files…

Can anyone advise if the wordpress developers are aware of this issue and will be fixing it for the next release?

I am one of many people who have encountered this same issue, there doesn’t seem to be a proper fix for it yet… cheers
