# Permalinks Broken

 * Hello every one. to start off i have read every previous thread on this site 
   and no answer works!
 * when i set permalinks to anything besides default it gives me a 404 error.
    mod_rewrite
   is enabled the .htaccess is fine php and Apache is up to date.
 * the permalink works if i put the %index% tag on but buddy press still does not
   work with that and im just so tired off trying to figure this out and need your
   help
 * Im not good with php, ssh, and so on. so plz provide detailed instructions on
   a fix

 * fixed my i had to restart the server after enabling mod_rewrite derp 😛
