Permalinks break every time admin edits a page.

  • Hello,

I’m using 3.3.1 with WPML plugin, default language set as DE

Every time I edit a page as administrator the category URLs stop working and I get a 404 Page not found.
e.g. the path kategorie/<categoryname> gives a page not found

I can fix this by changing the default language to English, saving Permalinks, then resetting the default language to German and resaving the Permalinks.
e.g. the path kategorie/<categoryname> now correctly lists all posts in <categoryname>

This doees not happen if I disable WPML.

I’ve searched and found similar but not identical problems. Has anyone else seen this or can anyone suggest the reason this happens?

It’s ridiculous to have to tell the site administrator (my client) to do these steps every time he edits the site …

    Many thanks for your insights,
    Dawn
