  • You can NOT have real, physical directories with the same name as your “virtual” directories created by the WP nice permalinks.

Ok… so is there any other way to obtain what I want to do ?

I’m updating my wordpress and want to delete any post that doesn’t look professionnal from the database, but without deleting the html pages physically.. putting the page anywhere else would be nonsense since i really don’t want to lose the traffic and SEO from these pages.

I hope someone know a way to do this…

Just try to re-read your post above – to realize what a nonsense it is…

So, in the database they don’t look professional but keeping in a html file makes them look professional, so that the SEs could find them. You want to delete them AND keep them exactly in the same place.

I’m completly redesigning my site. I want to exclude these page from the new design, but still keep their old version in plain html. Anyway, this subject i not why I want to do it more than how to do it…

I understand that for some people it seems like nonsense but it doesn’t remove the fact that I have my own reasons to do this that way.

    Thank You

I have my own reasons to do this that way

Except, as I said above, you can NOT.
