permalinks

    supposedly my host has mod_rewrite enabled… so not sure why permalinks isn’t working. is there a specific location that the htaccess files should or shouldn’t be to get this to work? i’ve put it into several locations, but still nothing 😐

    it must be in the same folder as the wordpress index.php

    how do they not work?
    when you try a non-default structure, does it give you code to put in the .htaccess or a success message?

    it gave me the code to put in… i just realized that since my blog is in its own directory and the index.php is one directory up it needed to be there too. oops! hopefully others will be able to learn from my mistake 🙂
