I have tried every which way to get the nice permalinks setup but I am missing something

On the Template page, Single Page – Options I have the single page URL set to “/profile/”

I have a single page with the shortcode [abcf-staff-single id=”485″] in the body. The name of the page is “Profile” and the permalink is http://www.firsttakecinecritic.com/profile/

Then on a particular single page for a single staff member, on the Options Tab the
Pretty Permalink is “/profile/stephanie-lynn/”
and the page Title is “Stephanie Lynn”

I then went to the permalinks setting in wordpress and saved permalinks without changing anything.

What am I missing here? I feel like i followed the instructions

Staff Member Data > Options > Pretty Permalink

Change: “/profile/stephanie-lynn/”
to: “stephanie-lynn”

That did not work either. I am running the most recent version of the plugin and most recent version of wordpress.

The URL:
http://www.firsttakecinecritic.com/profile/stephanie-lynn/

seems to work.

The hyperlink under “View Full Bio” is the issue. How is it created?

You are right – it does work! That is progress.

The reason I didn’t think it was working is that the directory (list page) link is still pointing to the non-pretty URL link:

Here is the list page: http://www.firsttakecinecritic.com/critic-directory/

notice the link to full bio still shows http://www.firsttakecinecritic.com/profile/?smid=486

But if the link on the list page isn’t supposed to change then that is fine. I can use the other nicer link when manually placing the link to the page from other pages.

When you add field: Template Options > Single Page Options > Single Page Text Link it should create hyperlink with proper URL.

How you created ‘View Full Bio”?

Yes i have done that – i followed the instructions completely as best I could understand them

On Single Page Options I see the single page shortcode that is generated automatically: [abcf-staff-single id=”485″]
In the Single Page URL i have

/profile/

Single page text link: show link “yes”
Link Text says “View Full Bio”

Open in new tab or window is unchecked.

Single Page URL – replacing relative with absolute URL will fix the hyperlinks.
