# Permalinks

 * My recipes are currently set up as [http://www.website.com/recipe-1/](http://www.website.com/recipe-1/)
 * I just installed this plugin, and any recipes I add seem to default to [http://www.website.com/recipe/recipe-1/](http://www.website.com/recipe/recipe-1/)
 * I would like to remove the extra ‘recipe’ slug in the permalink, but I can’t 
   see how to do it. I already went to Settings / Advanced and turned On the ‘Remove
   recipe slug’.
 * What am I missing? Thanks!

 * The remove recipe slug setting is the only thing you have to change. After that
   make sure to flush your permalinks as mentioned.
 * It will still show /recipe/ when editing the recipe but when you actually view
   it in the front end the slug should be gone.

 * I flushed the permalinks, flushed the cache etc.
 * Right now, both website.com/recipe/demo-recipe/ and website.com/demo-recipe/ 
   are working URLs.
 * When I go to my blog archive page, unfortunately it’s still the website.com/recipe/
   demo-recipe/ URL that is listed.
 * Do I need to set up a regular expression to fix this? I had assumed that it would
   be an option in the plugin.
