# Permalinks

 * When I create a page with the title 2014, or 2013, etc. the permalink becomes“.
   com/2014-2/” . I have custom links set up but cannot seem to remove the “-2” 
   all i can do is change it to another number. I want to link to look like this“.
   com/2014/….” I do not know what to do to change this. Please help

 * Yes i have empties the trash for Posts and Pages. and the permalink structure
   i am using is post name

 * Do you have another Post or Page with the same name? WordPress only adds a numeric
   suffix if you do.

 * I do not have any other pages with the same name, that’s why I am confused. the
   only thing on my page with a “…/2014/…” is where i upload content .org/wp-contentuploas/
   2014/….” not sure if that has anything to do with it because those aren’t actually
   pages
