# Permalinks & ٍServer Load

 * Hello,
 * Since about 2 weeks i was facing very annoying issue with my wordpress site, 
   the dashboard is very slow, and once i start clicking through the dashboard the
   load spikes on the server, specifically when i try to add a new post, it takes
   more than 5 mins to add a post and sometimes i got (504 time out error)
 * This issue was because i have post name on the Permalinks, once i switch the 
   permalinks to the default everything works fine.
 * What i need now is to go back to the custom permalinks structure so i can have
   the post name in the permalinks without making any slowness issues.
 * Any one have an idea?

 * One of your plugins could be affecting load. So first, try deactivating all plugins,
   and if load time decreases, reactivate each on individually until you find the
   cause.

 * I have already did that but it doesn’t help!

 * Then I can only guess that this is a server performance issue. Have you spoken
   to your hosts about it?
