  • Yes, unfortunatly my hosting provider don’t allow me to use mod_rewrite directives inside my .htaccess files.
I realy like clean and semantic URI, is there any solution for me?
(may be a plug-in, may be an apache Force-Type directive )

  • Why not prefix your permalinks with index.php as that works on most hosting providers. See the options on the permalink page in your blog install.

Pretty permalinks are exclusively the domain of mod_rewrite.

Without mod_rewrite, you can use reasonably pretty permalinks of the format:
    http://example.com/index.php/2005/07/08/a-post
You’ll have index.php in your permalinks, but you won’t have question marks.
