# permalink rewrite

 * hi i use wordpress 2.5 which allows me to rewrite my permalink when I write my
   posts. I use the postname type.
    but after I posted it or saved the post, I couldn’t
   change the permalink again, which should let me edit it and save it. I dont understand
   why, please help me thank you

 * When you are editing the post, there should be a field where you can click on“
   Edit” for editing the slug. Is that there? Or is it greyed out? Or is it not 
   there at all? Please try to be a bit more descriptive as to how it doesn’t let
   you edit it.

 * well.. I could edit the permalink field (the postname part), and then I clicked
   save, but after that it still shows the old link, my edit didn’t get saved at
   all

 * What did WP tell you to do after clicking Save on your permalinks? Did it tell
   you to manually update your .htaccess file? If so, do it! 🙂
