# permalink problem … i think

 * recently i changed my permalink format to date and name based rather than default.
   since then, none of the files i put up on my FTP for HTTP download (pictures,
   audio, etc.) are not available. any http:// links just redirect to my blog home
   page. i changed the permalink structure back to default but i am still experiencing
   this problem.
 * can someone help me out? this has been bugging me tremendously and my previous
   attempts at getting assistance haven’t produced any fruit.

   to Default?
    What’s in your .htaccess file?

 * Now, if everything goes all pear shaped when you try to set them again, you’ll
   want to try out the troubleshooting stuff on the [Permalinks](http://codex.wordpress.org/Permalinks)
   page.
 * You might also want to confirm with your host that mod_rewrite and AllowOverride
   are properly on and enabled.

 * yes…permalinks are default right now. it seems as if internal links are working
   again. i’m not sure why this shifted.
 * now i’m having problems with the ‘about me’ widget, but that’s for a different
   thread, i guess.
