Hey guys having an issue with the permalink as I am trying to create a questionaire to achieve a green teaching badge. We are able to create it and user is not able to open the permalink. Does the user need to have webmatrix installed as well as the author? Any help would be appreciated.

Just as a “dumb luck” thing, try refreshing your permalinks by simply visiting the permalinks page, then try again. Sometimes the rewrite rules need flushed.

Thanks for that Michael, we are using badge os and have created a sample questionnaire and currently at the user testing phase for our project. How do we get a user from a different PC to take this questionnaire Via the permalink? Once we accessed the permalinks page, it just shows you the common settings?

Not quite sure what you’re doing in regards to webmatrix, to be honest. Logically, as long as they can access the website somehow, and interact with it and log in, they should be able to earn the achievements. My suggestion from earlier was to help get the single achievement url working, as i perceived you having an issue and it showing 404 errors instead. Visiting the permalinks page in your WP Admin is a way to trigger a rewrite rules flush/rebuild and get any new post types working as expected.

You would just have them visit the url in question and fill out the forum.

We are using Webmatrix just for database purposes. We are using wordpress/badgeOS on a local host and are trying to get the URL for the users to access our quetionnaire to work.So our permalink at the moment is http://localhost:*****/?community-badge=green-teaching-101 which does not make sense, not sure how to change the permalink to make it accessible for users. Can you help us with this issue as we are using badgeos for the first time.

Honestly with that url you provided, it just looks like it’s a case of your permalinks not being set and instead using the default .

Have you thought of doing anything with http://localhost:*****/wp-admin/options-permalink.php ?
