  • Having decided to use Blogger to organise information for future reference, I now realise that I need to have categories and private posts, but before I start moving a design to WordPress I want to make sure that the whole thing works properly and at the moment it doesn’t seem to be capable of establishing permanent links. I’ve looked elsewhere in these forums, but all the solutions to problems like this seem to involve the httaccess file, and it can’t have anything to do with that, because, at the moment, the site is operating without this security measure (I’ll get to adding it, I just want to make sure everything is peachy-keen first.

    The site is at http://www.dirtforbreakfast.com/index.php
and the old blogger version is at http://www.dirtforbreakfast.com/index.html

Could someone please help? I really don’t know how to even start…

  • um, I’m pretty sure you need a htaccess file in order to use permalinks. The link will actually look like how it should with permalinks enabled, but you just can’t actually get to that post without an htaccess file.

    Hm… I’ll try that.

    Sorry to bother you 🙂

no problem, if you need more help, just post back in the forums.
