# Permalink Kills Site Root

 * I’ve been looking at SEO so decided to change the permalink structure of my blog
   to Semi-Pretty so that it didn’t require a mod_rewrite.
 * When I do this, navigating to the root URL [http://blog.baby-green.co.uk/](http://blog.baby-green.co.uk/)
   no longer serves up the page. You have to go to [http://blog.baby-green.co.uk/index.php](http://blog.baby-green.co.uk/index.php)
   in order to get anything.
 * The Semi-Pretty permalinks are working fine thtough.
