# Permalink issue

 * Hi, i would like to know how to remove the slug title for the home page ? I’m
   using gutenberg (+ kadence’s blocks and theme) and it forces me to add “home”
   as a slug title for my home page instead of just keeping the domain name.
 * I set permalinks as [https://domain-name/post-name](https://domain-name/post-name)
   but i think it souldn’t add an useless slug title when it comes to the home page…
 * Any help ?

 * **Every page must have a slug. **When you designate a page as a the home page
   under **settings->reading**, then example.com/thatslug becomes example.com.
