 * After i updated my wordpress my permalinks started messing up(showing page not
   found or error 500) and i had to repair my database tables several times already.

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

 * i am trying that out and see what is causing the database to mess up
