    Hello friends,

    I’m completely new to wordpress and not a computer geek. I’m migrating from blogger to wordpress and facing permalink problems while customization. Can anybody help me ?

    My domain name is www.exploremyindia.in
    The available option for customization through Permalink settings Custom Structure is http://exploremyindia.in/blog …….. Please look at the snapshot picture at the following URL.

    I want to use custom structure and url as www.exploremyindia.in/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%.html for exact mapping with blogger.
    After my domain name /blog is not desirable. How to remove it ?

    Hi @rspandey62,

    Is WordPress installed in a folder called blog under your root directory? If yes, then that may the reason. If you install it one level higher under the root directory I think this should fix it.

    Hi Tanveer,

    Thanks for replying. I’m not very good at WordPress so may be you help me. So far I remember I tried to install WordPress in its root directory only. There was an option for Directory name as wp for installation, but I removed it.
    How can I proceed further and check ?

    Thanks everyone. The problem is resolved. I was making a mistake while my WordPress installation. I was checking multisite option, which cause to create a directory automatically.
