• Hi,
I have started to use wordpress one week ago. So far I had added some 20 posts. Then I decided to change the permalink format. (ther were no adverts to not do this once written posts).
I changed from “default” to “date and name based”.
After I hit the “update permalink structure” button, the page refreshed and… nothing. A http 500 error came up and ever since I was not able to open my blog.
I have uploaded the original options-permalink.php file to the wp-admin directory, but there is no change. I can’t get it back to work.
    Please help me on this.
    Thank you in advance.

  • there’s likely a problem with the .htaccess file in your wp root directory. i’d start by cleaning that out, setting permissions to something like 777, configuring permalinks, then setting correct permissions.
